It took us months of planning, researching, resourcing, testing, and choosing elements for our products and packaging that are environmentally conscious, sustainable, and safe to use and store.
We all know many of the big companies use waxes such as paraffin, which is derived from petroleum, coal, or shale oil, and sends harmful pollutants into the air when lit.
We decided to choose natural soy wax, which is made with natural performance additives, is biodegradable, and vegan-friendly.
Soy wax candles are crafted from soybeans, a sustainable and natural resource. Through hydrogenation, soybean oil is transformed into a solid wax. Unlike paraffin wax candles derived from petroleum, soy wax candles are toxin-free and chemical-free. Additionally, they are biodegradable and have a reduced carbon footprint compared to paraffin wax candles.
We could talk all day about how we’ve taken conscious steps to build a brand that is good for the environment (we didn’t even get to our packaging). There’s so much more to do, and we’re working on it!
